The culmination of the first ever Youth Tour took place at The Phoenix near Nottingham, on Sunday 21st of October.
21 of the Countries finest young exponents of 8 ball pool gathered to contest the £540 prize fund.
The players were split in to three groups of five and one group of six, all played a full round robin best of seven frames.
Top two from each group progressed to the quarter finals, the draw was such that a player could not play the other qualifier from his group until the final.
Quarter Finalists, Kieron Phillips, Zac Cooper, Aaron Lowe and Gary Frederick all walked away with £30 each
Semi Finalists, Callum Singleton and Josh Kane took £60.00 each for their troubles.
The final featured the two qualifiers from Group four, Jack Smithers from Surrey, didn't drop a match in the group stages and looked favourite to win the title, John Egan from Suffolk came runner up in a very tight group.
Egan had lost 4 - 3 to Smithers in the group stage, however the final started out as a one sided affair with Egan taking the first four frames, Smithers battled back by taking four of the next six to make a contest of it, but finally had to accept defeat, Egan winning the first prize of £200 by 6 frames to 4. Smithers took £100.
